THE ADELPHI CLUB
The Adelphi is probably Hull’s most iconic music venue, a real go-to for original live music. The club was originally a three-bedroom terraced house, complete with a garden, built in 1888. Bands from all over the world have played gigs here, covering a wide range of genres. Adelphi was also officially voted the best small music venue in Yorkshire in 2018. Entry to the front room (wherein you may find the pool table) is always free, whatever is happening in the main concert space. An actual real double-decker bus forms the bar in the Members Lounge. The real ales are a staple and are often included in the CAMRA Guide. Adelphi also serves a variety of lagers, ciders, spirits, and wines at competitive prices. On rare nights when there is no gig scheduled, Adelphi still opens at 8 pm and you can enjoy said real ales at a discount of £1 per pint and listen to the latest vinyl/breaking bands from the resident DJ.
