ANTI SAUTÈ SAUTÈ CLUB REVIEW

There’s no better place to visit in Hull right now than Anti Sautè Sautè Club based at the White Hart Pub. Dishing up the hype beast of burgers, the crispiest fried chicken and vegan dishes that could turn the most stubborn of meat eaters!

Anti Sautè are a hub of Hull street culture, hip-hop references and food rebellion, regularly changing its menu to reflect its customers requests. To add to the fantastic food on offer, The White Hart have also had a fantastic revamp of the outdoor area with plenty of seating and lighting which gives a great ambience in the evening. We visited on a Saturday night and were greeted with a fantastic atmosphere.

There was a fantastic menu available with Anti Sautè bringing back a great mixture of old faves and new dishes. There were burgers galore; from the Rick Ruben with pastrami to the Smoked Dope Everyday, so named (I’m guessing!) from the inclusion of CBD balsamic. Their legendary DFC fried chicken dishes includes wings, Korean fried chicken and the Deep Friend Friends buttermilk chicken burger, a nod to the local lifestyle and pub wear brand, Friends on Every Street.

The vegan menu is inventive and dynamic including Korean fries blossom fritta burger sandwiches, cauli wings and the vegan Doner Kebabeth! Throw in a side of fries, or if you’re super hungry, their famous katsu fries and you’ve got yourself a meal! We decided on one meal from the meat menu and one from the vegan to get a good idea of the range on offer.

First up?, the Deep Friend Friends: ridiculously crispy buttermilk coating, and tender chicken. The smoked cheese, tomato jam and onion chutney are a fantastic combination, tangy and delicious. The king of fried chicken burgers are a must try.

Next was the vegan Doner Kebabeth. Vegans, rejoice! Imagine your favourite dirty doner kebab from your local takeaway, ramp up the flavour and take away the guilt and this is the kebbabeth! You may be tricked into thinking this is meat but it is entirely plant based and mouth-wateringly delicious. We also ordered a portion of happy fries - a self described ‘mad’ mix of french fries, sweet fries, hash brown fries and potato smiles. The hashbrown fries are an absolute delight and the whole lot is coated in chip spice - cos this is ‘ull and that’s how it’s done here!

If banging burgers, the crispiest fried chicken, and vegan food even the meat eaters will come back for are your kinda thing, grab your loyalty card and head to The White Hart for good food, good beer and good vibes.
